When will the World Rainforest Day celebration take place?
World Rainforest Day is celebrated annually on June 22. The World Rainforest Day Summit will take place on June 21-22 (western hemisphere) or June 22-23 (eastern hemisphere).
In the past, my organization hosted an event at the Summit. Is this still possible?
Unfortunately, no. Since 2021, our community of partners and participants has grown tremendously. This means certain past experiences are no longer accessible for a community of this size. We currently receive far more event proposals than we are able to accommodate. To keep the Summit a reasonable duration, all events are now curated by our World Rainforest Day team. However, you're more than welcome to submit your event ideas to us for consideration, and host your own event independently of the Summit.
Does my event/social media post have to be in English?
No. Please use whatever language with which you are most comfortable. More information on language accessibility at the Summit will be available soon.
What support will I receive if I'm hosting a World Rainforest Day event outside of the Summit?
We cannot help financially, but we are happy to work with you to identify any needs we may be able to address. We are always available to chat! Be sure to let us know the details of your event/celebration so we can help with the promotion.
What will networking at the Summit look like?
Networking will be available to partners and professionals attending the Summit, and will include virtual happy-hour style group networking, one-on-one "speed networking", and the ability to view profiles of other attendees and speakers and connect with them directly.
Will events be available on demand after the Summit?
Yes. All events will be recorded and available on demand indefinitely on the World Rainforest Day website and YouTube.
Can I invite other organizations to join the WRD community?
Yes! If you know of anyone interested in or aligned with the rainforest mission, please connect them with us.
